OUR STORY

Threads of the blue city

Chefchaouen is known for its blue medina and for the handwoven wool of the Rif mountains. At Antique Chaouen, Rachid keeps that tradition alive on a wooden loom, one thread at a time, and invites you to sit beside him and try it yourself.

Meet Rachid, the weaver

In the blue-washed medina of Chefchaouen, weaving is part of daily life. Every day Rachid sits at his traditional wooden loom and turns wool and cotton threads into handwoven textiles, one row at a time.
